Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: Explain the physiological process of scar formation and its effect on tissue Recognize characteristics of integrated and non-integrated scar tissue Demonstrate the ability to palpate scar tissue and differentiate it from surrounding structures based on fullness, glide between layers, and shape Perform visual and palpatory assessments to identify patterns associated with scarring Apply hands-on techniques to improve glide and adaptability within scarred tissue Determine appropriate depth for a technique based on the layer involved Demonstrate safe and effective strategies for working with sensitive or complex scars Demonstrate and apply gentle techniques in the abdomen, joints, and extremities that positively affect scarred tissue Integrate specialised work with scars into a full-session framework Sequence interventions to support overall structural organization Evaluate changes in tissue behavior following intervention
